Earlier this year, Joan Kelly was found lying on the floor in her shop injured by an object coming off the lathe.   She was rushed to the MED here in Memphis, an excellent trauma center.   She has injuries to her brain and eye.   She has been unconscious the entire time and remains that way today.   Please keep Joan and her family in your thoughts and prayers.   I bring this up to remind all of us how important it is to be safe as possible and use all the necessary safety equipment we have at our disposal.   Joan is a very safety conscious person and look what’s happened to her.
