Subject: a wood tuning lathe that will turn a piece 65" long.

    Hello Lorne,

I am in the process of restoring an antique hay wagon.  I have a piece of white ash 65 inches long, which will be the rear axel. Could you please let me know who has a lathe that would turn the ends for me. It would be a simple task of turning 11 inches at each end, beginning at each end  at 2 inches up to 3 inches at a length of 11 inches from each end.  This will fit into a steel wheel hub.

I thank you for suggesting who has such a lathe and would do the task for me.

Hi,

I am looking for someone who would be willing make me some wood pegs for a small timber frame project I am working on at a reasonable cost. I need approximately 20 - 1" x 9" pegs made from some scrap douglas fir that I have or they could be made from some kind of hardwood preferably oak.

If you know of someone who may be interested just have them email me or call me at 705 742-7742.

Thanks
Don
